Here are a couple of baby presents I have made recently. They were great because they didn't take long and were relatively easy to make. I modified the pig (which is from Purl Bee) because the pattern made such a gigantic stuffed animal, so I cut down the size to about 1/2 of the original by using smaller needles and less bulky yarn (the pattern called for an 15 needle and I used 8s). He was easier to mail this way also I ended up only using one skein of yarn (instead of 5), which was awesome! Finished size ended up being about a foot high.
These squishy balls were awesome because you can use whatever leftover yarn you have and they are fun for little kids to mash and toss, but lightweight enough not to break anything. They are from my book itty bitty toys.
